About the organization
_ Humanitarian
for Children International was founded in October 2009 in Toulouse, France; under the 1901 French law of association. Created by two students,
the organization has since evolved and grown in size, currently counting more than 400
members worldwide.
To date, the organization has accomplished a great number of its primary objectives, among them: the establishment and continued management of an orphanage in south western Kenya, a region greatly affected by malaria and the AIDS epidemic.
HFCI is headed by a five member administration council that meets annually in order to ensure continued monitoring and assessment of project priorities, future objectives and the organization's finances.
HFCI's ambassadors, volunteers and members are located worldwide and support the organization through child sponsorship, donations, awareness campaigns and fund raising activities. As a non for profit organization, membership is free and volunteers and ambassadors are selected on a motivation and availability basis.
In a joint effort with its members and partners, the administrators of the organization are working towards ensuring the promotion and defense of Children's Rights worldwide.
